Dare to…! 2021
This work is based on the principle of visual association with broken ties, broken relationships and broken traditions. It questions the consequences of decisions people make when they leave and uproot their lives in time of peace, not war. Notwithstanding all the losses, they ‘dare’ to…. leave, ‘dare’ to face change, ‘dare’ to face the unknown in pursuit of a better life, equality and social justice.

David Gareji, which I visited in the Autumn of 2022 is the rock-cut 6th century - still functioning - monastery with preserved unique frescos that are considered masterpiece of Georgian Medieval Art.
